The Washington Conference on International Terrorism, held in 1984, was more widely publicised than the Jerusalem Conference on International Terrorism which brought together many of the same people 5 years earlier. Its stated aim was to coordinate the global response to "terrorism".[1]

The Westland New Post was disbanded after the untimely death of its founder, Paul Latinus. This was ruled a suicide, "under highly dubious circumstances" (he reportedly knew Marc Dutroux).[2]
