Agenda

The 1977 Bilderberg Conference Report has been leaked and is now online. There were three topics on the agenda.[1]

1. North American and Western European attitudes towards the future of the mixed economies in the Western democracies

There were two working papers. The first working paper, from an American, was entitled Problems In The Mixed Economy. The second working paper, from a German, was entitled The Mixed Economy: Some Comments On The European Experience".

2. North American and Western European attitudes towards the Third World's demands for restructuring the world order

There were two working papers. The first was a French paper on Attitude of The European Countries Toward The Demands Of The Third World For A Reframing Of The World Order, And The Political Implications Of This Attitude. The second working paper, by an American, was entitled Developed Country Reactions To Calls For A New International Economic Order.

3. Open discussion about current problems in European-American relations

Exposure

In 1977, Yves Mourousi mentioned the Bilderberg group for the series Actualités of the French TV channel TF1, a report by the journalist Dominique Bromberger. An 18 April piece by Caroline Moorehead in The Times named Henry Kissinger, Helmut Schmidt, Edmond de Rothschild, Joseph Luns, Giovanni Agnelli and Margaret Thatcher as visitors.[2]
