The 1959 Bilderberg Meeting was the eighth such meeting and the first one in Turkey. It had 60 participants from 10 European countries, the United States and Canada. It was held at Yesilkoy, Turkey. The 68 guests included 13 business executives, 22 politicians, 1 financiers, 5 editors/journalists and 4 academics. The next meeting was the 1960 Bilderberg.
