The 1959 Bilderberg Meeting was the eighth such meeting and the first one in Turkey. It had 60 participants from 10 European countries, the United States and Canada. It was held at Yesilkoy, Turkey. The 68 guests included 12 business executives, 23 politicians, 1 financiers, 5 editors/journalists and 3 academics.
