Australia is a nation state in Oceania to the west of New Zealand. It has been particularly aggressive in universal surveillance of its citizenry. By Autumn 2020, its COVID-19 response inspired the comment that it "looks like the most totalitarian police state that has existed in recent history", and that "it has become a full-scale pilot test for the elitists to see how well they can implement the New World Order."[1]
“We should understand, Australia is part of the United States. It is part of this English-speaking empire, the center of gravity of which is the United States, the second center of which is the United Kingdom”...“Australia is a suburb in that arrangement. Our capital is Washington. The capital of Australia is DC. That’s the reality...That’s where the decisions are made.”
Julian Assange [2]

As a former UK colony, the Australian deep state was an extension of the UK deep state. It appears to be one of the leading deep state in pushing for global surveillance and has used the purported threat of "terrorism" as legal pretext for an aggressively roll out of surveillance technology. Since 1945, at least 3 regime change operations have been carried out in Australia, conducted by the US Deep state in concert with the British MI6 and local collaborators.
1949 Coup d'etat
In 1949, the government of Prime Minister Ben Chifley and Foreign Affairs Minister Herbert Vere Evatt was considered ‘unsafe’ and subjected to Cold War smears and an American-backed campaign to install the conservative Robert Menzies, an Anglophile and imperial figure as PM[3].
1975 Coup d'etat

In 1975, the CIA used Marshall Green, to carry out a coup d'etat to remove the independent minded Gough Whitlam from power, who had been criticising US foreign policy. As of 2018, the coup was still not widely recognised as such, and widely referred to (for example by Wikipedia as a "constitutional crisis".)[4]
2010 Coup d'etat
In 2010, a cabal of Labor Party and trade union powerbrokers, acting on behalf of the US embassy, carried out what amounted to a backroom, inner-party coup to remove Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and install his deputy, Julia Gillard, as his replacement. Secret US diplomatic cables published by WikiLeaks in December 2010 revealed that “protected sources” of the US embassy were pivotal figures in Gillard’s elevation.[5]
COVID-19

Australia and its neighbour New Zealand, both island nations which instituted early COVID lockdowns were the last two western nation states to pursue a zero COVID policy. Australia was particularly aggressive in its COVID lockdown policies.

Melbourne’s Centre for National Resilience is being built to be a huge quarantine camp.
The Gateway Pundit has reported on Australia. SURVEILLANCE STATE: “Identify and Disrupt” Bill will Give Australian Authorities Access to Any Citizen’s Social Media, Email Account Without Consent; Allow Them to Add, Delete Information and Send Messages.[6]
On 30th August 2021, Australia reported their 1,000th COVID death.[7]
Head of CFMEU John Setka called striking construction workers "Anti-vaxxers", "fake tradies" and "man-baby Nazis". Premier Daniel Andrews shut down the entire industry for two weeks. One construction worker committed suicide.[8]
Economy
Of the 20 biggest Australian companies, 15 were majority-owned by US-based investors. Three more were at least 25% US-owned.(The top 20 companies make up half of the capitalization on the stock exchange.) All four of the Australian big banks are majority-owned by American investors. The Commonwealth Bank of Australia, the nation’s biggest company, is more than 60% owned by American-based investors. So too are Woolworths and Rio Tinto. BHP, once known as “the Big Australian”, is 73% owned by American-based investors.[9]
Minerals
In 2015, it produced 12% of the world's Uranium.
Cashless society
In December 2016, the New Zealand Herald reported that "Australia could scrap the $100 note".[10] Earlier in the year some researchers were predicting that Australia would be a "fully cashless society by 2022"[11][12]
In December 2017, Australian banks began to freeze the accounts of bitcoin users.[13]
In 2020 "Royal Australian Mint CEO Ross MacDiarmid told ABC News that he expects 5 and 10 cent coins to be phased out of circulation in the coming years, adding that the pandemic has likely shortened the natural life of coins."[14]
Law enforcement

In the late 2010s, the Australian government introduced the Assistance and Access Act, also known as TOLA[15]', granting law enforcement legal powers to intercept and monitor encrypted communications, being called only second to the UK’s equally infamous 2016 Investigatory Powers Act, TOLA was still under review in 2020 and even expanded with the Surveillance Legislation Amendment (Identify and Disrupt) Bill 2020, ignoring comments from the Australia’s Independent National Security Legislation Monitor (INSLM) and the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security[16]. The Bill included the legal power to "create and modify data on personal devices" and takeover practically any account that connected to the internet from that device or network for the investigation of any crime that carries a 3 year sentence, even creating loopholes for judges to authorize network activity warrants for other jurisdictions if the location of the device is unknown or cannot be reasonably determined, even if the device may be located in a foreign country, with all companies and individuals also forced to comply with, risking a 10 year jail sentence if not doing so, specifically also lowering the minimum age for compulsory questioning on terrorism-related matters to 14 years, with Minister of Home Affairs Peter Dutton calling MPs in parliament opposing the bills "Enemy of the State".[17]
Interestingly the advisory boards called for an independent board of publicly chosen individuals as the act made defending the warrants not necessary (even after scandals of untrained personnel within the divisions responsible), nor any requirement to inform an individual afterwards. The bill and process of introducing gathered a large wave of critics[18] from judges, activists, and companies like Mozilla (a small player with ~5% in worldwide market share) who owns internet browser Firefox[19], with the bill seemingly not affecting cybercrime, still costing Australia $3,5 billion in 2020.[20]
Citizenship cancellation based on hearsay
In August 2021, proposed legislation allow a visa to be cancelled or a person's citizenship revoked on the basis of confidential information provided by government agencies. The information provided by gazetted agencies - such as foreign law enforcement bodies and other Australian agencies - can be used without the person knowing the information is being used or having a chance to respond to the information itself. [21]
Corruption
"Victoria Police officers faked more than 258,000 roadside alcohol breath tests, an exhaustive audit by Professional Standards Command and statisticians has uncovered."[22][23]
Drug Trade
Australia seems to have a disproportionate number of huge drug busts of MDMA and Methamphetamine.

James O'Neill | “Throughout 2020 the Chinese progressively barred imports from Australia, or imposed swingeing tariffs. The professed reasons for doing so by the Chinese were a fig leaf. The intention was clearly to damage Australian exports, and it succeeded, with volumes of goods sold to China dropping dramatically throughout 2020 and into 2021. It was not just exports that were affected. China was also the largest source of foreign students in Australian universities, a multi-billion-dollar source of revenue. Literally hundreds of Australian university staff have been laid off in recent months. The Chinese government is openly advising students to look elsewhere for their education. | James O'Neill | 2021 |
