Gladys Berejiklian was the Premier of the Australian state of New South Wales 2017-2021, where she led the state during the beginning of the COVID-19 deep event. After being blackmailed into vaccine lockdowns, she resigned in October 2021.
For the first year of the COVID-19 deep event she was relatively moderate in her lockdown policies, at least compared to the harsh and protracted lockdowns that were forced through by the Victorian government. This dramatically changed during the southern hemisphere winter of 2021, when she enacted some of the harshest lockdowns in the world.[1] She called in the military to police the state to deal with the so-called Delta variant,[2] in reality a psy-op to lock people in until they consented taking a COVID-19 vaccine.

Blackmailed into vaccine lockdowns
Australian Billionaire mining magnate Clive Palmer, who leads the Palmer United Party, claimed Berejiklianis controlled by pharmaceutical lobbyists. "She is being directed by a lobbyist in Sydney who is being paid by AstraZeneca and by Pfizer tens of millions of dollars to get these policies through to make sure the vaccine is pushed."[3] The same lobbyist, says Palmer, controls the Liberal Party in Sydney and is using the threat of the Independent Commission Against Corruption’s (ICAC) inquiries into Gladys Berejiklian to pull her strings and push the vaccines.[4]
On a question from a journalist “You think that the Premier of NSW wants to destroy businesses?” “I do,” said Palmer. “Why would she want to do that. It’s her economy!” the journalist countered. [4] Palmer repeated his previous answer: “Because as I tried to explain to you, she’s being directed by a lobbyist in Sydney who’s being paid by AstraZeneca and by Pfizer tens of millions of dollars to get these policies through, to make sure these vaccines are pushed. That’s why. You asked the question and that’s my personal knowledge and I’m happy to make the statement here to the police or anyone who want to know what’s going on … I’ll be doing that. They’ll be named.”[4]
Resignation
In October 2021, as part of her evidence to an Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) inquiry, Berejiklian admitted that she had been in a "close personal relationship" with Daryl Maguire from 2015 until August 2020. Maguire had been a fellow Liberal MP until a previous inquiry had heard that he had sought inappropriate payments, leading to his resignation in 2018.[5] As a result, a vote of no-confidence was taken in parliament. She survived the vote in the lower house with 47–38, and in the upper house with 21–20, after a deciding vote from the Liberal president.[6]
A mashup of all the things she has said at press conferences throughout COVID. Makes her sound like Hitler. |
