The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is an Australian health regulation agency.
The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works with the 15 National Boards to help protect the public by regulating Australia's registered health practitioners. Together, our primary role is to protect the public and set standards and policies that all registered health practitioners must meet.
Public health messaging
In February 2022, AHPRA published "12 Commandments to avoid AHPRA notifications", advising doctors that "Health practitioners are obliged to ensure their views are consistent with public health messaging. This is particularly relevant in current times. Views expressed which may be consistent with evidence-based material may not necessarily be consistent with public health messaging."
