2022 expanded espionage laws
 +
In November 2022, Sweden expanded its espionage laws to permit the country’s police to investigate journalists, publishers, and whistleblowers if they reveal secret information that "may damage Sweden's relationship with another state or an international organization." The expansion aimed to ensure that the Swedish government has even more control over what the public learns about the country's cooperation with NATO, the European Union, WHO or the United Nations. If found guilty of disclosing such "harmful" information can be sentenced to up to four years in prison under the new law. The measure could help authorities ensure that information about the Swedish participation in the war in Ukraine remains hidden. The law would reassure US military and security authorities that Sweden can be trusted to crack down on leaks if information from their close "partnership". Under the expanded law, quoting a secret US document- for example from Julian Assange and Wikileaks — would be construed as damaging to Sweden’s relationship with the US or NATO, especially as it relates to the government’s ability to covertly pursue objectives. Swedish security agencies were also given increased powers to launch raids against media and seize electronic equipment in order to identify sources who provided information to journalists.

During the September 2018 national elections to the Riksdag, a variety of election fraud methods were observed, the obvious purpose of reducing the Sweden Democrats' election results from close to 30% to below 20%. In opinion polls, the party had become the largest party, and in June the party reached 28.5 in one poll. The traditional open opinion polls have historically always underestimated outsider parties such as the SD and the election results have, when the results are counted, missed by several percentage points.  When the vote count ended, the final result for the Sweden Democrats was between 5-10 percentage points below virtually all polls. The party only got 17,53 % and did not even become the second largest party.

On the morning of election day, tips about electoral fraud began to pour in around the country. Voters who visited the polling stations found that ballots were missing in several places in the country, especially for the Sweden Democrats. The Alternative for Sweden Party and the Nordic Resistance Movement were also subjected to this type of electoral fraud, albeit to a lesser extent. In some polling stations, the Sweden Democrats' ballot papers had not even been unpacked. Elsewhere, the ballots had apparently been stolen. Ballots that had been obscured by the ballots of other parties was also reported to be common. Many also complained in this election about how they were forced to openly pick up ballots in front of both election officials and other voters, which violates the normal principle of electoral secrecy.

A nation state which is heavy on social control, but which defied the SDS COVID lockdown policy.

Sweden is as nation state in Scandinavia, Northern Europe. It is a large backer of some SDS policies, such as the "war on drugs", and while ostensibly neutral, has been subservient to NATO interests since the Cold War.[1] It demonstrated an unexpected amount of independence from SDS control in March 2020, by following standard procedure for pandemics; it defied the near[2] global drive towards COVID lockdowns. However, more extensive restrictions were implemented in November 2020, limiting public gatherings to eight people.[3]

An alleged SADF Military Intelligence report on Olof Palme, dated 15 October 1985, (4½ months before his assassination) which concluded that he "should be seen as an enemy of the State."

The Swedish Prime Minister, Olof Palme, was assassinated on 28 February 1986, 4½ months after a document alleged to be a SADF Military Intelligence report concluded that Palme "should be seen as an enemy of the [South African] State." Policies

Swedish COVID guidance.png

In contrast to the rest of Europe, the Swedish government did not impose mandatory restrictions on its population during the COVID-19 pandemic, but instead advised them on social isolation.

COVID-19

The graph of daily COVID-19 deaths in Sweden is remarkably similar to the graphs of other European nations which did not impose a lockdown. The daily death count peaked at around 100 in mid April, thn declined steadily to low single figures by the start of August

In contrast to many other nations, Sweden followed its own national law and let the response to COVID-19 be decided upon by health experts rather than political leaders. Anders Tegnell followed the pre-existing plan for responding to a pandemic, so in contrast to the other European States, Sweden (like Belarus) refused to introduce a COVID lockdown.

Throughout the early months of the COVID panic, the SDS-controlled corporate media were nearly uniform in their criticism of the Swedish policy, routinely drawing unfavourable comparisons with neighbours Norway or Denmark, rather than with the harder hit UK, Spain or France.[5] Tegnell remained unswerving in his policy, explaining that the policy goal was to achieve herd immunity with minimum disruption, rather than to minimise the fatality rate in the short term.

Conscription

On March 2, 2017, the Swedish coalition government announced that it would reintroduce military conscription. This was nominally a response to the (unspecified) "Russian threat", although Roger Ennis suggested that the main purpose may be a domestic strategy of tension.[6]

Cultural experimentation

“In Sweden, everything seems possible except for dissent; dissent from the ubiquitous social message that tells its citizens they must be tolerant of every new cultural fad – from getting micro-chipped under the skin to allowing four-year-olds to be indoctrinated in preschool with the newfangled concept of transgenderism.

Thousands of Swedes have already been implanted with tiny microchips, typically inserted in the left hand, that will allow them the ‘convenience’ of no longer fumbling around for their credit cards, identification, keys. Much of their personal information is stored on the chip, which is about the size of a piece of rice.

Amazingly, despite the potential for the government, corporations or other powerful entity to hack into these devices, that possibility never seems to enter Swedish discourse.”
Robert Bridge (May 2018)  [7]

Johanna Olson-Kennedy termed Sweden one of "the most transgender-affirming countries on the planet".[8]

2022 expanded espionage laws

Swedish security agencies were also given increased powers to launch raids against media and seize electronic equipment in order to identify sources who provided information to journalists.[9]

2018 Election fraud?

During the September 2018 national elections to the Riksdag, a variety of election fraud methods were observed, the obvious purpose of reducing the Sweden Democrats' election results from close to 30% to below 20%. In opinion polls, the party had become the largest party, and in June the party reached 28.5 in one poll[11].

Many also complained in this election about how they were forced to openly pick up ballots in front of both election officials and other voters, which violates the normal principle of electoral secrecy.[12]

The discrepancy of between five and ten percentage points for Sweden Democrats is so large that there might have been another type of manipulation, a cyber attack. During election night, the county administrative boards website was suddenly shut down for "security reasons". The county administrative boards are responsible for the election night reporting and are thus the authority to which the electoral districts report their voting results. The Swedish election authority's website was also down. No further explanation was given for this serious incident, neither by the county administrative boards themselves nor by the The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency.[12]

With possible projection (accusing others of what oneself is doing), the spook agencies (Säpo) accused Russia of trying to influence the elections through influence operations and electronic attacks.[13][14]
