Anna Maria Bodotter Borg Sæther is President and CEO of the Swedish state-owned hydro-electricity company Vattenfall.[1][2]

She held a presentation at the 2023 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting on what role electrification across society play in accelerating the global energy transition.[3] She attended the 2023 Bilderberg meeting in June.

Education

Anna Borg has a master's degree in economics and political science.[4]

Career

She worked briefly as a consultant before joining Vattenfall in 1996 in the company's trading business. She held various management positions in strategy, business development and project management. In 2015 and 2016, she was Nordic manager at online financial company Klarna[5], and returned to Vattenfall in April 2017 as head of the markets business area. Later in 2017, she became chief financial officer.[6][7]

On 1 November 2020, she took over as president and CEO of state-owned Vattenfall after Magnus Hall, which was announced on 10 September 2020.[8]

On March 8, 2021, Dagens Industri placed her as number eight on the magazine's list of the country's most influential women.[9]
