Henry R. Kravis is a multi-billionaire American businessman. He is a co-founder of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co and the KKR Global Institute. Kravis was one of the key players in the leveraged buyout ("hostile takeover") of RJR Nabisco in late 1988 for $24.88 billion which was the largest corporate control transaction of its time.
Kravis is a prominent Republican political donor and was a major contributor to the 1992 re-election campaign of George H. W. Bush, as well as the campaigns of George W. Bush and John McCain. He established the Republican Leadership Council with Lewis Eisenberg in 1997 
KKR Global Institute
Kravis tapped retired General and ex-CIA Director David Petraeus to run the intelligence agency in December 2014. KGI was responsible for trafficking large quantities of weapons into the Syria conflict in order to arm Daesh/ISIS opposition to Bashar Al-Assad.
