Franciscus Cornelis Gerardus Maria "Frans" Timmermans is a Dutch "left wing" politician who moved up into the EU apparatus, before going back to national politics in 2023. He is a member of the Knights of Malta. He attended the 2008 Bilderberg meeting.

Timmermans was placed in a central position, as Dutch foreign minister, at the time of the shoot-down of passenger flight Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over eastern Ukraine in 2014, and played an important role in the following propaganda campaign

As EU commissioner, Timmermans played a part of the implementation of the EU Building Directive, a Great Reset scheme to make home ownership unaffordable for more people by demanding expensive renovations of over 200 million buildings in the EU, under the pretext of energy efficiency. A similar strategy was chosen to weaken farmers and food supplies, by forcing them to go bankrupt by demanding new costly inputs to production and radical new genetic manipulated patented plants with unproven safety, under the pretext of reducing "greenhouse gas" emissions. Also wants GMO foods which will weaken people's health.

Background

His father was a diplomat and Frans Timmermans spent most of his childhood in Brussels and Rome.

In 1986, he was conscripted in the Royal Netherlands Army as a private first class for the Dutch Military Intelligence and Security Service as a Russian interpreter. In many countries, military interpreting is a specialized elite education that leads to close contacts with the spook agencies during their further careers.

On 1 July 1990, he was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Dutch Embassy in Moscow, Russia. On 1 September 1993, he returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as Deputy Head of the Bureau for European Development Cooperation. On 15 March 1994, he left the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, becoming Assistant to European Commissioner Hans van den Broek. Timmermans moved from this post a year later on 15 March 1995, to become Senior Advisor and Private Secretary to Max van der Stoel, the High Commissioner for National Minorities of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

He is a Catholic and member of the intelligence-connected Knights of Malta.

National political career

In 1998 Timmermans was elected a Member of the House of Representatives for the Labour Party, where he became Deputy Chairman of the Commission for Foreign Affairs. Timmermans was part of the Convention on the Future of Europe, a body established to produce a draft constitution for the European Union, from March 2002 until July 2003. Both the Dutch and French voters rejected the constitution proposal in referendums, despite an intense propaganda campaign from the establishment The results were promptly ignored with the signing of the 2007 Treaty of Lisbon.

In 2006 Timmermans became Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and was responsible for the co-ordination of government policy towards the European Union. One of the topics in his portfolio was the Treaty of Lisbon, the successor to the European constitution rejected by referendums in the Netherlands and France in 2005. A major theme of his time as Undersecretary for European Affairs was to increase support for European integration.

After a 2012 election, he became foreign minister. This was a central position during the time of the shoot-down of passenger flight Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over eastern Ukraine in 2014 and the following propaganda campaign

EU career

From 2014 until 2023 Timmermans held a number of positions in the European Commission, including Commissioner for the "European Green Deal" and Commissioner for Climate Action.

In December 2021, Timmermans supported the introduction of "new genomic techniques" in agriculture. On 5 July 2023, the European Commission has adopted a proposal for a new Regulation on plants produced by certain new genomic techniques. These new plans will overturn a 2018 European Court of Justice ruling that organisms obtained by mutagenesis plant breeding techniques are GMOs and should fall under the GMO Directive.

As part of Timmermans' "Green New Deal", the Commission introduced thr Farm2Fork initiative in 2020, a "radical transformation" designed to cripple European agriculture under the pretext of combating "climate change". It sets a series of radical goals to meet by 2030 including reducing synthetic pesticide use and livestock antibiotics by 50%, increasing land for organic food production to 25% and cut fertiliser use by 20%. The greenhouse gas reduction targets for the agricultural sector will be increased by 50% before 2030.
