George Robertson is a former NATO Secretary General,[1] former head of Chatham house with various spooky connections, such as his adviser Willem Matser.

As is standard for NATO Secretaries General, George Robertson attended the Bilderberg group prior to being awarded the job (in 1998).[2][3] He was a president of Chatham house until 2011.[4]

As NATO Secretary General, George Robertson saw adviser Willem Matser on a daily basis.[5] On 3rd February 2003, Matser, a Dutch Military Intelligence officer, was arrested in his office at NATO HQ in Brussels on suspicion of laundering around USD 200 million for a Colombian drug cartel.[6][7] Also arrested were Pietro Fedino, a crime boss connected to the Colombian Cali cartel and Willem van Voorthuizen, a Dutch estate agent and serial fraudster.[8][9][10]. The money laundering charge was dropped, but Matser was later found guilty of forgery and fraud.[11][12]

Robertson's three children are former pupils of the school in Dunblane where in 1996 gunman Thomas Hamilton murdered 16 children and their teacher. It has been claimed that Robertson was "one of the the people who gave references for Hamilton's firearm license", and Robertson may have attended the same masonic lodge as Hamilton.[13][14]
