DescriptionThe 14th Bilderberg meeting, held in Italy

The 1965 Bilderberg Meeting was the 14th such meeting and had participants from 15 European countries, the United States, Canada and "various international organisations".[1] It was held at the Villa d'Este, near Como, in Italy. The 87 guests included 17 business executives, 31 politicians, 5 financiers, 6 editors/journalists and 4 academics. The next meeting was the 1966 Bilderberg.

1. Monetary Co-operation in the Western World

Emile van Lennep gave a paper on Monetary Cooperation in the Western World[2] and an American made an oral statement before the discussion.

2. The State of the Atlantic Alliance

Ernst H. van der Beugel gave a paper on The State of the Alliance[2] and an American made an oral statement before the discussion.

Vietnam War

Independently of the meeting, an American participant submitted a statement on his Government's policy in Vietnam.
