Soli Özel is a professor of International Relations at Kadir Has University in Istanbul, a fellow at the Robert Bosch Academy, and a columnist for the Turkish daily Habertürk.[1]
Overview
Born in Izmir in 1958, Soli Özel graduated from Robert College in Istanbul in 1975 . Then in 1980 he studied Economics at Bennington College in the United States, before he completed his undergraduate education in 1983. He studies at International Relations at Johns Hopkins University, graduating with a Masters.
Özel, who previously worked as a lecturer at Bilgi University, wrote daily columns on international relations in the newspaper Sabah. At the same time, he wrote for the scientific UHP (journal) on law and international relations, published by the think-tank International Strategic Research Organization (USAK), which partners with US deep state Atlantic Council, and continues to write and work in the magazine.
Soli Özel is a Turkish citizen of Jewish origin and is an expert especially on the Middle East problem. He has been working as the Foreign News Manager of Gazete Habertürk, which started to be published on March 1, 2009, after leaving his position as a writer in Sabah. Soli Özel moved to the International Relations department of Kadir Has University in September 2010 .
