Official narrative

It is interesting that Wikipedia doesn't have a page on this topic. The commercially-controlled media narrative about drug trafficking emphasises smaller, independent operations - oblivious of the mounds of evidence that the drug market is more or less controlled by cartels which operate in cahoots with government agencies such as the DEA and particularly the CIA.
