George Arcadievich Nebolsine was a corporate lawyer. He died in on 23 March 1964, in Paris, the day after the 1964 Bilderberg, to which he was invited. He "was an original member of the Bilderberg Group, which was founded by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands to discuss with public and private leaders important political and economic issues."[1]

Background

George was the son of Arcadi Nebolsine, an admiral in the Imperial Russian Navy. "He attended Williams College, graduating in 1923 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received a master's degree from Princeton in 1925 and a law degree from the Yale Law School. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1931. He also studied international law at the Institut des Hautes Etudes in Paris and the Academy of International Law in the Hague."[2]

Activities

He served also as a member of the executive committee of the United States Council of the International Chamber of Commerce and as vice chairman of the international chamber's commission of foreign investment and economic development.[1]

Publications

He published in Yale Law Journal in 1930.[3]

Obituary

Exceptionally, the New York Times mentioned the Bilderberg in Nebolsine's obituary in March 1964, stating that "Mr. Nebolsine was an original member of the Bilderberg Group, which was founded by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands to discuss with public and private leaders important political and economic issues."[1] "At his death, he was on his way to Turkish Armenia to photograph chapels and temples of the 9th and 10th centuries."[4]
