Mike Pompeo is an American politician who has been the U.S. Representative for Kansas's 4th congressional district since 2011. He is a member of the Tea Party movement within the Republican Party.[1][2]

Having served as a Kansas representative on the Republican National Committee, Mike Pompeo was selected by President-elect Donald Trump in November 2016 to be Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.[3]
