Description | Resistance during COVID-19 |
“Nobody has ever complied their way out of totalitarianism. Every time you comply the demands will get greater and greater.”
Robert F. Kennedy jr. (January 2022) [1]
Resistance against the COVID-19 deep event started disorganized, as the global lockdowns came unexpected and were not easily compared to previous deep events. Large swathes of independent media, especially many previously on the left, supported the official narrative. But already in March 2020, there were a number of medical experts warning that something was seriously off-kilter, see:
- Full article: COVID-19/Dissident
- Full article: COVID-19/Dissident
In phase one, where chaos and panic prevailed, resistance included mental hygiene, staying out of hysteria, keep one's sanity.
In phase two (April 2020 -) resistance included: civil disobedience, lawsuits, demonstrations and the speaking out against the measures.
By December 2021 methods such as a general strike comes into focus (Austria)[2]. Many doctors and experts have joined into the movement.
Contents
Official narrative
Resistance to the lockdowns, face masks and forced experimental vaccinations were consistently depicted as a right-wing extremist phenomenon, possibly an angle chosen and encouraged by a PR agency[citation needed]. The official propaganda campaign had a remarkable success in terrorizing large parts of the population to follow prescriptions that went against their own well-being.
Independent media
- Robin Monotti operates his Telegram channel along with Mike Yeadon and Cory Morningstar, after being banned by Twitter and Facebook. An steadily intensifying campaign of censorship on corporate social media forced dissidents over to Alt Tech solutions. The White Rose started a guerilla marketing campaign using stickers, attempting to break the spell.
Demonstrations
2020
After a month or so of lockdowns and forced face masks in 2020, the first public protests started.[4] In many places, demonstrating against the measures became impossible or a high risk affair as all gatherings were banned.
- In England, by the end of September 2020, substantial protests happened in Trafalgar Square in London.[5][6]
- North Carolina saw demonstrations in mid April 2020.[7]
- Protesters in Berlin, Germany, demand constitutional rights. Activist video: www.nichtohneuns.de
- April, 25 2020: Protests in Vienna, Austria (200 people reported)[8]
- In Chile, protests that erupted over an increase in ticket prices in 2019, continued in in April of 2020 during the lockdown.[9][10]
- German general practitioners have published an appeal to politics and science in which they call for „a more responsible handling of the corona crisis“.[11]
- Since May 2020: Protests (350 - 1000 people) in every major city in Germany (and probably worldwide, i.e. US[12]) [13] Berlin had a major demonstration in August 2020.
- In 2020, Australian protesters gathered despite being banned, leading to police clampdowns.
2021/2022
During 2021, protests gathered steam, at the same time as governments forced people to get vaccinated.
- In Australia, construction workers protested in September 2021 when vaccination was made mandatory for them to work, and their union having agreed to this. The protests were suppressed by the police.
- By November 2021, the government had lifted the ban on protests, but kept the work mandates. The country's capital cities soon saw the largest demonstrations ever. In February 2022, the federal capital Canberra also saw its biggest protest ever.
Car convoys
- "Outraged by their governor’s ban on “non-essential” sales and activities, thousands of angry Michigan residents got into their cars and drove to her office in Lansing, in what they dubbed ‘Operation Gridlock.’"[14]
- A internet search (May, 1 2020) for "corona car convoy protest" reveals that all over the world a wave of protests involving car convoys - thus obeying the 'no-contact-rule' - happened. [15][16][17][18][19]
- Full article: Freedom Convoy 2022
- Full article: Freedom Convoy 2022
- In January 2022, Canadian truck drivers who oppose COVID-19 vaccine mandates started “The Convoy for Freedom,” a cross-country protest where thousands of truckers drove from all over the country for a large protest in Ottawa.[20] The truckers were greeted by crowds along the routes, while Canadian PM Justin Trudeau reportedly went into hiding.[21]
Legal cases against "lockdown" measures
Various courts, up to the supreme court(s) are critical of the measures:
- In September 2020 a federal judge ruled the Pennsylvania lockdown “Unconstitutional”[22][23]
- The German supreme court ruled general stay-at-home-orders illegal. [24]
- In Hesse, Germany, the supreme court ruled[25] against general stay-at-home-orders and made clear that politicians need constantly prove why basic rights are taken away - citizens had not to prove why they are exercising their rights. Meetings of 50 people must be allowed. In consequence local politicians support protests to open German borders.[26]
April 2020, as the lower case fatality rate became clear, judges and lawyers started to challenge the proportionality of the COVID lockdown, i.e. Peter Vornahme (Judge, Bavaria, Germany) and Lord Sumption (Judge, UK).
- German website collecting legal cases (500 by the end of 2021)
The situation in other states is likely comparable to Germany.[citation needed] / US[27]
- Jens Wernicke, editor of rubikon.news published a lawsuit and announced his intention to go "a long way through the courts".[28]
- The website kollateral.news of a German specialist lawyer is collecting reports on „suffering due to the lockdown“ and on the actual situation in German hospitals.[29]
- In Germany, medical lawyer Beate Bahner who filed a complaint against the corona measures with the Federal Constitutional Court Of Germany and called for demonstrations, was arrested and deported to a prison psychiatric ward for two days. The public prosecutor is investigating for „public provocation to commit crimes“ and shut down her website temporarily.
- Another lawyer asks in an open letter to the German Federal Chamber of Lawyers: „Lawyers sent to psychiatric hospital for protest? Is it that time again in Germany?“
Smearing of critics
In April 2020, Novak Djokovic spoke out against mandatory vaccination because of COVID-19. In March 2021, Serbian model Natalija Scekic reported that an unnamed person from the City of London tried to get her to seduce Djokovic while a hidden camera was operating, so that he could be either smeared or sexually blackmailed.[30]
In September 2021, the famous rapper Nicki Minaj was attacked by the CCM after tweeting about the vaccine.[31]
The Berlin mass protests in 2020 were attempted demonized with an attempted false flag operation, "The Storming of the Reichstag".
Celebrity support
Most celebrities have promoted the official narrative. A few have dissented. Interestingly, a disproportionate amount of the dissenters are women.
