François Étienne Vladimir Bujon, known as Bujon de l'Estang is a French diplomat. He was French Ambassador to Canada from 1988 to 1991 and French Ambassador to the United States 1995-2002. He was diplomatic and defense adviser to Prime Minister Jacques Chirac.
He is a member of the executive committee of the Trilateral Commission and vice-chairman of the French-American Foundation.

Early Life
Bujon de l'Estang is a graduate of the Sciences-Po in Paris, a certification from the Harvard Business School and a student at the ENA.
Diplomatic career
From 1966 to 1969, he was in charge at the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic under General de Gaulle. From 1982 to 1986, he was president of the American subsidiary of Cogema in Washington. From 1986 to 1988, he was diplomatic and defense adviser to Prime Minister Jacques Chirac.
After the defeat of the right in 1988, he asked to be appointed ambassador. The government offered him to be appointed French Ambassador to Egypt, which he refused. He obtained the post of French Ambassador to Canada in 1989. He became Ambassador to the United States in 1995.
Consulting and banking
He was Chairman of FBE International Consultants (an international strategy consulting firm), from 1992 to 1995, then again since 2003. He was chairman ( chairman ) of Citigroup France, from January 2003 to December 2010, senior international advisor of Citi France, since January 2011, and member of the European advisory board of Citi. He is also a member of the international advisory board of the oil company Total group, member of the editorial board of the Revue des deux Mondes, vice-chairman of the French-American Foundation (New York), administrator of the French-American Foundation (France) and president of the Mona Bismarck American Center for art & culture (Paris, France).
He is a member of the executive committee of the Trilateral Commission.
