The 1988 Bilderberg Meeting was the 36th meeting and had participants from 17 European countries, the United States and Canada.[1] It was held at the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol, in Telfs-Buchen, Austria. The 116 guests included 20 business executives, 32 politicians, 9 financiers, 8 editors/journalists and 10 academics. The next meeting was the 1989 Bilderberg.

The moderator was Eric Roll and introductory remarks were by Paul A. Volcker.

2. How To Handle A World Awash With Public And Private Debt?

The moderator was Kenneth W. Dam, working paper author was Alfred Herrhausen and introductory remarks were by Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.

3. The German Question Revisited

The moderator was Ernst van der Beugel and introductory remarks were by Helmut Kohl.

4. The New Information Era

The moderator was Etienne Davignon and introductory remarks were by Walter Wriston.
