Jacob Rees-Mogg (born 24 May 1969) is a British politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for North East Somerset since 2010.
On 24 July 2019, Boris Johnson appointed Jacob Rees-Mogg Leader of the House of Commons and Lord President of the Council.
A member of the hard right wing of the Conservative Party, he has been ideologically characterised as a High Tory and social conservative with reactionary, traditionalist, and right-wing populist views.[1]
