Legally mandated vaccination or "forced vaccination" has long understood to be a grievous infringement of freedom, but has been carried out in some countries, including in the US. In recent years, this practice has been carried out, generally only in more indirect forms -- i.e. to keep this job, or send your child to this school, submit to vaccination will be required.

History

1898-1904 Smallpox epidemic

In 1901, smallpox vaccinations were carried out at gunpoint in the US. A 1902 US Supreme Court "upheld the right of a state to order a vaccination for its population during an epidemic to protect the people from a devastating disease", although other restrictions were placed on this practice.

In a lot of other cases, i.e. flu the vaccine seems to causes more deaths than the (rapidly changing) pathogen - in part due to adjuvants.

Gulf War

The US tested an unknown number of vaccines on its armed forces, resulting in Gulf War syndrome

COVID-19

In response to COVID-19/Panic many people have promoted the idea of mandating COVID-19 Vaccination, although such a vaccine has yet to be developed.

Denmark

In 2020 the Danish government changed the law to permit this.

Spain

In April 2020 in the Spanish region of Andalucia, influenza vaccinations were mandated in 2020 for all over 65's and people at risk, as part of the regions Covid-19 measures.. This is despite the fact that influenza vaccines do not help against Covid-19, and may even aggravate it due to vaccine interference.

Resistance

Many activists have highlighted the risks of mandating vaccines, drawing attention to the influence of big pharma over scientists and politicians.
