Christopher Francis Patten, Baron Patten of Barnes is a British politician who was the Chairman of the Conservative Party from 1990 to 1992, and the 28th and last Governor of Hong Kong from 1992 to 1997.

Gladio

He is a member of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, which was a cover for Gladio in some countries. It is a matter of surmise if he set up similar structures in Hong Kong before it was handed back to China.

Education

Patten grew up in an Irish Catholic family in west London. He went to a Catholic primary school, Our Lady of the Visitation, in Greenford, and later given a scholarship to the St Benedict's School in Ealing, west London, where he won an exhibition to read Modern History at Balliol College, Oxford.
