Emilio Gabriel Collado was a US economist "who helped design the international post-World War II monetary system" and was America's first executive director of the World Bank.[1]
He was a member of the Bilderberg Steering committee.
Career
Collado was a member of the American negotiating team at the Bretton Woods conference in 1944, where the United States and Britain effectively designed the postwar international monetary system, creating the International Monetary Fund to oversee a system of fixed but adjustable exchange rates between currencies and the World Bank.[2]
From 1947 until 1975, Collado worked for Exxon corporation.[3]
A New York Times obituary named him "a Creator of the World Money System".[2]
