The 1987 Bilderberg Meeting was the 35th such meeting and had 106 participants from 19 European countries, the United States and Canada.[1] It was held at the Villa D'Este, Cernobbio, Italy on April 24, 25 and 26, 1987. The next meeting was the 1988 Bilderberg.

1. Strategy Toward The USSR
The moderator was Andrew Knight and the panelists were Egon Bahr, Henry Kissinger and Renato Ruggiero.
2. Policy Toward Trade And Protectionism
The moderator was Alfred Herrhausen, the working paper was authored by Helmut H. Hascheck and the panelists were Etienne Davignon, Paul A. Volcker and John C. Whitehead. In 1989 Herrhausen was assassinated on his way to work "in a military operation of a complexity without precedent".[2]
3. The Public Sector And Economic Growth
The moderator was David Rockefeller and the panelists were Edouard Balladur, Richard G. Darman and Romano Prodi.
