The University of Bonn (in German: Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn) is a German university located in Bonn in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is one of the largest and most prestigious universities in the country. In the 2016 summer semester it had approximately 35,600 students, including 4,000 foreigners. It is the city's largest employer. .
