Anatoly Borisovich Chubais (Russian: Анато́лий Бори́сович Чуба́йс; born 16 June 1955) is a Russian politician and businessman. He worked on privatisation of the former USSR.
Career
Chubais was responsible for privatization in Russia as an influential member of Boris Yeltsin's administration in the early 1990s.[1] During this period, he was a key figure in introducing market economy, working with Anders Åslund on privatisation of Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union. From 1998 to 2008, he headed the state-owned electrical power monopoly RAO UES.
