Jean de Belot is a former editor who became president of the communications and public affairs consulting firm Aria Partners.

Edcuation

Jean de Belot is a graduate of the Centre de Formation des Journalistes, and began his working career in 1983. Successively a journalist for La Tribune de l'Économie then a senior reporter for Le Figaro, he joined the financial newspaper Les Échos in 1990, of which he becomes editor-in-chief. In 1998, he became editor-in-chief of the economic pages of Le Figaro, then managing editor of the paper, where he succeeded Franz-Olivier Giesbert.

He left the company in 2005 after a series of conflicts with the new shareholder, the Dassault group. He was a columnist on RTL and hosted the program l'Invité de l'Économie on LCI. He regularly appears on BFM in the program Les Experts de l'Économie. From mid-2005 to the end of 2007, he was vice-president-partner of Euro-RSCG C&O, the main consultancy network of the Havas group.

In January 2008, he created the communication and public affairs consulting firm Aria Partners[1], which brings together expertise in lobbying, sensitive communication and consulting. The company, which made a name for itself when it was created by advising Société Générale at the time of the "Kerviel affair", has been supporting for more than ten years a number of managements of the biggest companies on the CAC 40 or smaller companies, as well as several institutions and persons in Paris, Brussels and London.

In 2013, the weekly magazine Challenges placed Jean de Belot among the new communications gurus.[2]

In 2016, Jean de Belot became general delegate of the CERC, Center for Studies for Responsible Growth, which brings together European leaders and civil servants in favor of true European sovereignty. The CERC publishes studies on economic, industrial and societal issues for certain decision-makers and companies. CERC signed a partnership with MIT in 2018, and in 2019 with LSE and the Elon Musk Aff. Institute.
