Mike Small is a freelance writer, journalist, author and publisher who has written for The Guardian, Sunday Herald, Sunday National, Open Democracy, Variant, Lobster and Z Magazine. In 2021, he is working on a biography of Patrick Geddes and a history of Scotland 1950-2020.

Mike Small has edited the online magazine Bella Caledonia since 2007.[1]
