Central Intelligence Agency - The most high profile of the US SIS organisations. As the name suggests, its brief was originally limited to gather information. However, it rapidly morphed into a covert agent of foreign policy, after engineering the overthrow of governments in Iran and Guatemala for the sake of the profits of US corporations. It has instigated dozens of covert regime change actions.
