Major General Sir Colin Gubbins ran the Special Operations Executive during World War II and helped get the Bilderberg meetings established.

Bilderberg

Colin Gubbins was one of a dozen men whom Józef Retinger consulted when setting up the Bilderberg group.[1] Gubbins was invited to the inaugural 1954 meeting. He also attended several later meetings.[2]
