Aggressive promoter of the "war on terror", fan of internet censorship
Heiko Maas is a German politician. As German Justice minister he has been an active promoter of the "war on terror".
In 2016, Maas suggested that refugee populations could grow into a "terrorist" threat.
In 2017, Maas suggested Electronic tagging should be carried out under the "war on terror" pretext on those whom the German government deemed to be a "general threat".
In March 2017, Maas proposed fining internet companies up to 50 million euros if they did not cooperate with government policies such as censoring “obviously criminal content” within 24 hours.
