Pan-Arab organisation.

The Arab League is a middle-eastern regional organization of Arab states.

History

In March 2016 the Arab League designated Hezbollah a terrorist organisation.

Syria's membership status was downgraded after pressure from USA.

Member	Description
Algeria	A nation on the Mediterranean Sea. The largest country in Africa, formerly colonised by France.
Bahrain	Oil rich Arab nation, formerly part of the British Empire.
Comoros	Obscure island nation off the east coast of Africa. A nation formed at a crossroads of different civilisations, The Comoros is noted for its diverse culture.
Djibouti	small country in East Africa.
Egypt	Strategically important due particularly to the Suez canal.
Iraq	Iraq possesses the 5th largest oil reserves of any nation state.
Jordan	Middle Eastern kingdom.
Kuwait	Kuwait has the 6th largest oil reserves of any nation state.
Lebanon	Religiously diverse Middle Eastern country.
Libya	Libya has larger proven oil reserves than any other African nation, ranking 9th in the world. It was provided with a lot of bomb making equipment in the late 1970s in the Arms for Libya clandestine weapons deal. NATO airstrikes killed 60,000 Libyan civilians in 2011.
Mauritania	African country that banned slavery in 2007.
Morocco
Oman	The oldest independent state in the Arab world.
Palestine	Another victim of the British empire, Palestine is recognised by most UN member states.
Qatar	Oil rich, gas richer! Huge arms importer in the Persian Gulf.
Saudi Arabia	Longtime political ally of the USA, Saudi Arabia possesses larger easily accessible oil reserves than any other nation state.
Somalia	War torn country in Eastern Africa, was still attacking passing ships with "pirates" in the 2000s.
Sudan	On the list of seven countries which Wesley Clark stated the US military had plans to invade. An apparent coup in 2021.
Syria	A nation state in the Middle East being targeted by NATO countries and their terrorist proxies with a "humanitarian intervention"/"War on Terror" campaign to effect 'regime change'.
Tunisia
United Arab Emirates	The United Arab Emirates has the 7th largest oil reserves of any nation state.
Yemen	A war torn country in the Middle East
