Ali Aslan is a German journalist whose deep state connections are so multitudinous as to suggest that he is a deep state operative of some sort.

Background

Ali Aslan was born in Turkey and grew up in Germany (Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg).[1] He completed a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations at Boston University and Georgetown University in the United States.

Career

Aslan began his career with an internship at CNN in Washington D.C. and then worked as a reporter and editor for ABC News in New York. He then completed a master's degree in political science and journalism at Columbia University. As a foreign correspondent for Channel NewsAsia, he reported from Istanbul, Barcelona and Berlin.

In 2006, he worked a a political and media advisor for the German federal government, among other places in the Federal Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry of the Interior.

He was one of the American Council on Germany's Young Leaders for 2010.

He hosted a talk show for Deutsche Welle TV. Until 2018 Aslan was a moderator of a talk show on Bild Online (Axel Springer Publishing House).

Aslan regularly moderates high-level international conferences and events around the world and has shared the stage with top world leaders and personalities.

Connections

Aslan is a fellow of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and a member of theKörber Network Foreign Policy and the Global Diplomacy Lab. Aslan has been named a ”young leader” by the BMW Foundation, the American Council on Germany, the Munich Security Conference, The German Marshall Fund of the United States, the Bertelsmann Foundation, and the Atlantik-Brücke.[2] (most of them are organizations with intelligence ties). He was a participant at the 2018 Riga Stratcom Dialogue, that has strong ties to NATO and the Integrity Initiative.
