Tuncay Özilhan is a Turkish businessman and billionaire who is the Chairman of the Board of the brewery company Anadolu Group.
Overview
Born in Kayseri in 1947, Tuncay Özilhan completed high school at Saint Joseph High School and university at Istanbul University Faculty of Economics. Later, he went to the United States and completed his MBA at Long Island University.[1]
His business life, which started with Erciyas Brewing in 1977, and continued in the beverage (beer) section of Anadolu Group, where his father is a founding partner. Tuncay ended up as executive chairman, which he was appointed in 1984.
Özilhan became the 11th president of TÜSİAD as a result of the ordinary general assembly held on January 18, 2001.[2] After three years in this post, he handed over his post to Omer Sabanci on January 22, 2004.
Tuncay Özilhan has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Anadolu Group since May 2007. Anadolu Efes and the Efes Marketing companies own a 50.2% stake in Coca Cola Beverages (Turkey), and operates the beer brewery brand SAB Miller in Russia and Ukraine.[3]
