Aslı Aydıntaşbaş is a Turkish journalist.
Early life
She was born in 1973 in Izmir. She graduated from Robert College and Bates College in Maine, USA. Aydıntaşbaş completed her master's degree in journalism and the Middle East at New York University.
Career
She started journalism in Cumhuriyet newspaper, and has been a columnist and reporter in many other corporate media outlets, including as Washington and Ankara correspondent. Meanwhile, her news and articles were published in newspapers such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. In the 2011 election season, she presented the television programs Election Portraits for the 2011 Turkish general elections on CNN Türk, the TV programs Global Pulse on TRT Türk, Hot Contact on Skytürk360 and Karşı Gündem on CNN Türk. Due to an article she wrote about Demirören Holding's boss, Erdoğan Demirören, her column in Milliyet newspaper was terminated.[1][2]
Private life
Aydıntaşbaş got married to businessman Ekim Alptekin on August 7, 2007 and divorced in 2008. She is the daughter of the painter Figen Aydıntaşbaş, the sister of the advertiser Defne Aydıntaşbaş, and the niece of the actress Füsun Demirel.
