François Hollande is a former French President who was very unpopular.[1]

Unpopularity

The Washington Post reported on July 5th, 2016, that "nearly 90 percent of the French disapprove of their president, a poll has revealed. Only 12 percent of those surveyed by polling institute TNS Sofres said they thought Hollande was doing a good job. It is the worst score of any French president since such surveys were first conducted more than three decades ago."[1]

"Terrorism"

In late July 2016 Hollande announced, after a lot of suspicious "terrorist" activity, that France would have a 'new National Guard' "to protect its citizens".[2]
