Overview
Given its membership, it seems to be a neo-conservative group, and the purpose seems to be more about Israeli foreign policy objectives than any justice for Kurds.[2] among the advisory counci and members are many connections with Western military and intelligence agencies, and exceptionally strong neoconservative and Zionist ties.
In 2021, Justice for Kurds hired the law firm Covington & Burling to "advocate for policies promoting the interests of the Kurdish people".[3] The same year, President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani delivered a speech sponsored by The Jackson Institute for Global Affairs at Yale University and Justice for Kurds.[4]
There was an identically named organization, but with a left-wing angle, that together with the Progressive International delivered a letter to the EU institutions calling for the delisting of the Kurdish Workers Party as a terrorist group.[5] It is unknown if there is any connection between the two groups.
