Josef Meinrad Ackermann is a Swiss banker. He is the former CEO of Deutsche Bank, where he served until 2012. He was CEO of Bank of Cyprus from 2014 to 2019.
Ackermann joined the board of Bank of Cyprus one year after the Greek Debt Crisis where the bank underwent significant restructuring.[1] During his tenure, Bank of Cyprus was de-listed from the Athens Exchange in favor of London Stock Exchange in order to "boost investor confidence". [2]
