Wilhelmsen during the period 1958–2000 and was also a board member of several companies such as the shipyard Akers Mekaniske, Andresens Bank and the oil supplier Norsk Brændselolje.[1] He was member of the Conservative Party and Board member in the Norwegian Shipowners' Association.
