Raffaele Cafiero was an Italian was an Italian journalist, politician, shipowner and lawyer.[1]
Graduate in law, he was a shipowner and trusted advisor to Achille Lauro, for whom he wrote numerous public speeches. He was editor-in-chief of the newspapers Il Risorgimento in 1948 and Roma between 1950 and1952.
He joined the National Monarchic Party and, following an internal split, followed Lauro in the foundation of the Popular Monarchical Party (becoming its vice president), finally participating in the foundation of the Italian Democratic Party of Monarchic Unity.
He was also a councilor and deputy mayor of Naples.
