About 9/11, Ray McGovern stated "I think at simplest terms, there’s a cover-up. The 9/11 Report is a joke."
In 2011 he said that even though the 9/11 attacks occurred more than a decade prior, the US Congress was continuing to exploit them to pass "evermore Draconian laws", rolling back civil liberties and he noted that the US senate had signed off on the military's policy of indefinite detention without trial.[1]
