Munroe-Blum was born in Montreal and raised in Ontario. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Work from McMaster University, a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, and Ph.D from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Career
Trained as an epidemiologist, Munroe-Blum has led large-scale epidemiological investigations related to psychiatric disorders. She is the author or co-author of over 60 scholarly publications, including four books.
