Beate Meinl-Reisinger is an Austrian politician who is leader of the party NEOS – The New Austria and Liberal Forum since June 2018. In December 2021, Beate Meinl-Reisinger defended compulsory vaccination and proclaimed that "Opponents of vaccination are traitors"

She attended the 2022 Bilderberg meeting.

Education

Meinl-Reisinger studied law at the University of Vienna and completed her master's degree in European Studies at the Danube University Krems. She then completed a trainee program for EU academics at the Austrian Economic Chamber.In this context, she worked for the European Commission and as an assistant to Othmar Karas in the European Parliament.

Career

After the trainee program, she worked as a deputy managing director at "Women in the Economy", a department of the Economic Chamber. She held further positions at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labor and the Federal Ministry of Economics, Family and Youth. Subsequently, she worked as a consultant for women's, family, and integration policy in the cabinet of State Secretary Christine Marek.

In 2012, Meinl-Reisinger became involved with the new party NEOS. She was elected to third place on the party's federal list in the 2013 federal election, and was elected to parliament, the National Council. After NEOS merged with the Liberal Forum in 2014, she was elected as one of two federal deputy leaders of the party; she also became chairwoman of its Vienna branch.

After some years in Viennese politics, she was elected party leader in August 2018. Upon the resignation from the National Council of the previous leader on 18 October, she took his seat, and replaced him as NEOS group leader.

Supranational deep state policies

She advocated Austrian support for Ukraine after the start of the 2022 war. She calls for an "honest debate" on ending the consitutional Austrian neutrality and enhanced EU cooperation on foreign and security policy issues, with a common EU army. She was also open to joining NATO.

In addition, even after the start of the Ukraine was, she traveled to Ukraine "to get an idea of the situation". She want Austria's dependence on Russian oil and gas supplies to be ended. She wants more Western arms to Ukraine.

She is a supporter of the Israeli war in Gaza and beyond

Covid

In December 2021, Beate Meinl-Reisinger defended compulsory vaccination. It is about "ensuring the freedom of all". To deal with the crisis, the NEOS boss would like "an expert" as a pandemic manager. Meinl-Reisinger believes that with a broad 2-G rule – i.e. access only for vaccinated or convalescent people - the general lockdown could have been avoided.

I often talk about [ Putin ]'s very willing helpers, especially from the far-right side in Europe. In Austria, the FPÖ as well as the opponents of vaccination, who are traitors to the people in my opinion, because they actually let themselves be instrumentalized by someone who has an interest in harming Europe and Austria and making them weaker.
