Ann Linde, (born 4 December 1961 in Helsingborg) is a Swedish politician for the Social Democratic Party.
Since 10 September 2019, Ann Linde has been Minister for Foreign Affairs in Prime Minister Stefan Löfven's Cabinet.
Previously, she was the Minister for Nordic Affairs and Minister for European Union Affairs and Trade.[1] Prior to that she was State Secretary for the Ministry of Home Affairs.[2]
Ann Linde succeeded Bernt Carlsson as International Secretary of Sweden's Social Democratic Party in the 1980s.
Kashmir
On 27 November 2019, Ann Linde told the Swedish Parliament that the country doesn’t want any escalation of the situation in Kashmir, and that any long-term political solution “must involve Kashmiri inhabitants”. Ann Linde will be part of the delegation accompanying King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden on a state visit to India from 1 to 6 December 2019.[3]
