Background
Carola Lemne grew up in Gothenburg . She is the daughter of education councilor and priest Jan Janson and radio journalist Gertrud Brundin (1937–82)[1] remarried to Paul Brundin. Bishop Carl Block was her grandmother's father[2]. Robert Janson is her great-grandfather.
Career
She became a registered doctor in 1985, a doctor of medicine and since 1998 is a docent in clinical hypertension research at the Karolinska Institutet.
Lemne has been hospital manager (CEO) at Danderyds sjukhus AB from 2000 to 2008 and between 2008 and 2014 was managing director of Praktikertjänst, the biggest private health and dental care company[3][4]
She has had board assignments in Apoteket AB, the Foundation for Strategic Research, MEDA AB and Investor AB. From 2013 to 2017, she was chairman of Uppsala University's consistory and she was CEO of Confederation of Swedish Enterprise between 2014 and 2018.
Carola Lemne is board chairman of Ung Företagsamhet Sverige, Internationella Engelska Skolan AB, and ArtClinic AB, as well as board member of Arjo AB, IRLAb AB and Gustav Vs Anniversary Fund.
She has been a member of the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences since 2010.
Carola Lemne has been married since 1985 to Gösta Lemne (born 1956) and has a daughter.
