Bülend Özaydınlı is a Turkish businessman associated with the mighty Koç family. He attended the 2002 Bilderberg meeting.
Background
He graduated from Izmir Maarif College and American University of Beirut. He is the son of General İrfan Özaydınlı, who was Deputy from Balıkesir and Minister of Internal Affairs.[1]
Career
He started his business career in Oyak in 1972. He joined Koç Holding in 1987.[2] He was appointed as the head of Tofaş Production Group in 2000.
In March 2000, he received the Professional of the Year award by The Economist[3]. Özaydınlı, who was the acting CEO of Koç Holding in August 2001, was appointed as the CEO in January 2002. Between 2002 and 2007, he was the CEO of Koç Group. He left the group on May 1, 2007.
In 2008, he became the partner and CEO of Migros, which was acquired by BC Partners, a Private Equity company, and left this position on March 23, 2016.[4]
