Education
Winter has a degree in corporate law from the University of Groningen from 1991[1].
Career
From 1991 to 2013 he worked at the law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, advising corporate clients, including [[Unilever][2], and institutional investors on matters of corporate law and corporate governance. He advised clients in other EU jurisdictions on matters of EU corporate law.[1]
Since 2001 Jaap Winter has been actively engaged in shaping the corporate governance systems in Europe and the Netherlands.
