Jens Christian Hauge was a Norwegian resistance leader during World War II who emerged as a key deep politician. After 1955 he never held public office in the Norwegian government, but he continued to exercise a high degree of influence through the Norwegian deep state.[citation needed]

Activities

As Norwegian Minister of Defence from 1945-1952 he quite possibly managed the Norwegian Operation Gladio.[citation needed]
