David Amess entered Parliament on 9 June 1983 in a General Election with a majority of 8,959 votes. He represented the constituency of Southend West. [2]

COVID Dissidence

As an MP he was a critic of Big Pharma and overprescription of drugs[3]. He was against lockdowns[4], forced face masks[5], and vaccine passports[6], where he led a March 2021 House of Parliament debate on banning them.[7] On the other hand, he voted for mandatory vaccination for healthcare workers

Premature Death

David Amess was stabbed to death on 15 October 2021.[8] The alleged killer was identified as Ali Harbi Ali, a British citizen of Somali descent. He was also being detained under the Terrorism Act for Amess's murder.[9]
