Career
Gazi Ercel was Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey from 1996-2001. Earlier in his career he worked for the IMF in Washington DC, as the Assistant to the Executive Director. He later served as the Director General of the Turkish Treasury in charge of International Economic Development. In 2002 he established a financial advisory firm, Ercel Global Advisory providing consultancy services.
